Subject: Nice low key New Monsoon
This was a great show, i attended the concert and was treated to a nice lowkey NM show with less then one hundred people in attendance,...this show reflects the people in the crowd, and the show had people sitting at the beginning and ending with most dancing...
the night started off with a downpour outside, which reflected the start to the show African Rain was great to hear...

recording is very nice great sounding because of low crowd noise and because of a great sound man...

OK, this "over-50" Deadhead weighs in...

The thing I love about New Monsoon, other than their great music, is that they're not hesitant to let tapers get ahold of soundboards like this. I love other bands, such as String Cheese and Railroad Earth, but it seems that once a band reaches a certain point they stop allowing soundboard patches (as SCI and RRE have done)and all we fans have are some so-so audience recordings. New Monsoon seems to have taken a lead from Phil Lesh & Friends and lets soundboards pop up now and then. THANK YOU, GUYS! You can check out my list at etree.org (see below) and you'll find very, very few audience recordings. As long as New Monsoon makes occasional soundboards -- such as this great show in Monterey -- available, I'll continue to be a fan.

OK, off my soapbox. This is a nice show with nice audio. It's not the BEST New Monsoon show I've downloaded, but it's not bad either. Just an over-all decent night's worth of music that's recorded very nicely. Nothin' but smiles here in Tucson!

This show is just great music with a great vibe.
This old goat Deadhead will take this over warhorses like P&F, Ratdog, Allmans, Tuna, etc etc
Oops! ABB and Jorma don't allow any electronic trading so they shouldn't even be worthy of a mention here on LMA.
